MAP Testing

We have 4 days until we begin our Communication Arts state testing. Right now you are bored silly with reviewing terms, testing procedures, words of the week, and hearing about the whole thing. I know I'm right there with you I promise. Just think though next Tuesday at 8:00 CST you have the chance to show me that all of this review has been worth it! You can show me that for the last 7 months you have listened to what I've said during Reading class. You know the whole purpose of the test is to show what you know right? The test isn't over anything you haven't been hearing from me and most likely your 3rd and 4th grade teachers. You can totally rock the test and show the whole state of Missouri exactly what you have learned this year! I believe in each and every one of you. My class is full of reading rock stars this year and each and every one of you can blow the test out of the water!

Once we get past the next few weeks of testing then it is wide open for some fun until we get out of school. There is the annual district Eagles Film Festival to think about. Last year my class received an "Honorable Mention" I personally plan on trying to beat that this year. Then, we have DARE graduation and the field trip to the movies. Let's see what else...of the MAP Celebration is pretty fun (we have a helicopter, DJ, snow cones, a fire truck, and lots of games), the 3rd quarter Eagle's Nest party still has to happen, along with the 4th quarter one, then we have the 4th quarter AR reward aka Field Day, and our 400% Celebration for everyone who achieved all of the AR goals for the year.

So, you see we have 3 weeks of testing (only an hour or so a day) and then fun, fun, fun until May 18th! You do realize the last day of school is a mere 7 weeks away right? Let's see that translates to about 34 days. Don't forget we have a 3 day weekend coming up for Easter. :)

Let's get fired up to show what we know on the MAP test and then gear up for some serious fun!
